Aftercare is light, but a few habits will make your tattoo last the full 2 weeks:
- Avoid soap directly on the area, especially in the first 24 hours
- Pat the area dry after showers — don't rub
- Skip heavy moisturizers, oils, and sunscreen directly on the design
- Reduce friction with soft fabrics; avoid long soaks on day one
- If a corner lifts, trim it carefully rather than peeling
Removal takes a few minutes and is completely safe.
Fastest method — Oil: Apply any skin-safe oil (coconut, baby, olive, or almond) generously over the tattoo. Massage in gentle circular motions for 1-2 minutes, then wipe away with a cloth. The tattoo lifts cleanly. Rinse and moisturize.
Even faster — Alcohol wipe: A 70% isopropyl alcohol wipe will remove the tattoo in 30-60 seconds. Moisturize afterward to restore hydration.
Neither method damages your skin. The area may look slightly pink immediately after — this fades within 30 minutes.
Yes — once set, your tattoo is water-resistant and survives showers, sweat, and swimming. The trick is the first 24 hours: avoid long soaks, hot tubs, and direct soap on the area while the ink is fully setting into the outer skin layer.
