Care & Safety — FAQ
How long does this tattoo last?
Up to two weeks with proper care. Duration varies by placement, skin type, and daily activity.
Will it fade faster in rain, humidity, or sweat-heavy conditions (e.g. monsoon season)?
Yes. Extended water exposure — including heavy rain, humidity, swimming, or intense sweating — can accelerate fading. Pat dry gently after contact with water and avoid rubbing the area.
How should I care for it to maximise wear?
Apply to clean, dry, oil-free skin. Avoid moisturiser, sunscreen, or oils directly on the tattoo. Do not scrub the area; pat dry only. Minimise prolonged soaking (swimming, long baths).
How do I remove it?
Apply coconut oil, baby oil, or micellar water to the tattoo and gently rub with a soft cloth or cotton pad. Do not peel forcefully.
Should I do a patch test? (Precaution)
As a precaution — especially if you have sensitive skin, a history of skin reactions, or are trying InkUp for the first time — we recommend testing a small piece on your inner arm 24 hours before full application. Discontinue use and consult a dermatologist if irritation occurs.
What ingredients are used? Any known allergens?
Our tattoos use cosmetic-grade, skin-safe inks and adhesives formulated for temporary use. For a full ingredient list and allergen information, please refer to the product packaging or contact us at hello@inkup.co.in.
Is it safe for sensitive skin?
InkUp tattoos are formulated for general skin use. We recommend the patch test above if you have known sensitivities. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any skin condition.
Can children use this product?
Recommended for ages 5 and above. Adult supervision advised for young children during application and removal.

Peel, press, wait — that's it. Simple. Clean, dry, oil-free skin. Press the design on, add water for 30 seconds, peel the backing, and you're done.
Arms, hands, neck, collarbone, back, legs any spot with dry, clean skin works best.
Yes, once it's fully developed. But go easy: skip long soaks, harsh scrubbing, and heavy exfoliation near it.
Let it fully develop before contact. Keep it dry for the first few hours. Moisturise around it, not directly on it.
Real talk: semi-permanent ink develops into your skin's top layer, so it can't be wiped off like a sticker.
Nope, and that's kind of the point. It looks real because it acts real. No instant undo, but no permanent regret either — it fades on its own in 1–2 weeks.
Semi-permanent is our signature ink — it develops into your skin's top layer and wears for roughly 1–2 weeks. Temporary (like our freckles & face patches) sits on top and is built for a night, an event, a look. One's a phase. One's a moment. Both wash off eventually — zero needles, zero regret.
About 7–12 days, depending on your skin type, placement, and how you treat it. High-friction spots (wrists, hands) fade faster. Treat it right and you'll get the full run.
Because it's real ink, not a decal. Right after applying it looks faint - then it develops over 24–48 hours, deepening into that proper inked look. Don't panic at hour one. Let it cook.
Our designs are built from thousands of ultra-fine micro-dots instead of flat blocks of colour. As the ink develops, those dots create real depth, shading and skin-like texture - so it reads as an actual tattoo, not a sticker slapped on your arm.
That's the whole point. The dot structure + 24–48 hr development gives it dimension and a natural finish. People will ask if it's permanent. It's not. That's the flex.
